Woodlands-based Royals Table Tennis Club hosted its inaugural tournament, at Lentegeur civic centre, at the weekend. The competition marked the club’s 10th anniversary and featured junior and senior divisions. A number of top-ranked players, some fresh from the recent SA Open champions, in Bellville, were in action at the event. Tournament director Wafeeq Domingo said the aim of the competition was to promote the sport in Mitchell’s Plain and to unearth new talent.
