Cape Town Table Tennis (CTTT) represented by players from clubs across the city, including those from Mitchell’s Plain, gave a good account of themselves across all divisions – vets, para, junior and senior – at last week’s SA Open Championships, at the Proteaville Recreation Centre, in Bellville.

Picture: Fuad EsackShiloh Top Spinners Table Tennis Club’s Liam Beukes, 19, from Lentegeur and a former member of the Woodlands-based Mitchell’s Plain Royal Table Tennis Club, owned the under-19 division, winning gold to claim his second under-19 SA singles title. Beukes won his first SA singles title in Bloemfontein in 2021. Last year he won silver at the nationals in Durban and is now preparing to represent the country at the BRICS Games in Durban later this month.
