GET READY for an adrenaline-packed day as the highly-anticipated Senior League Hockey play-offs kick off at the Astro Turf in Cassandra this Sunday.
This weekend, the top contenders in both the men’s and women’s sections of the league will go head-to-head in a number of fierce battles to determine who will be crowned the ultimate champions of 2023.
In the men’s section all eyes will be on the William Pescod team who are returning as the defending champions. They have set the bar high with their stellar performance last year and will be looking to defend their hard-earned title. The competition, however, promises to be stiff as three other formidable clubs, Homevale and Saints, are eager to snatch the crown.
On the women’s side, the Sol Plaatje University Ladies are the defending champions. They too will be facing fierce competition from the Proteas team and Sorellas who are vying for supremacy in the women’s section.

The women’s finals will be played from 3pm to 4.10pm while the men’s finals will be played from 4.20pm to 5.30pm.
