Santos Football Club’s under-10 side are the Cape District Football Association’s League and Knockout Champions.

The People’s Team’s under-10 Blue team won 2-0 against Blue Bells Football Club, at the William Herbert Sports Ground, on Saturday, October 12.

Head coach Warren Doliveira says with the parents, children and the coaches commitment, the transition from grassroots is growing in the right direction at Santos.

“It’s all to do with commitment. This is all testament of that commitment. To coaches out there, as parents, continue to encourage the kids because we need this in our communities,” he said.

“With two trophies, that is a good sign for youth development at the club. There is movement. Watch the space,“ he said.

Coach Omar Davids said he was proud of the club, players and parents. The under-10 Blue, under-12 Blue, under-14 Blue and First Division Blue, all won their Leagues and Grand Challenge’s undefeated.

On Saturday, October 12, with the under-10 Blue winning 2-0, the under-12 Blue team won 3-0, the under-14 Blue team won 6-0 and the First Division Blue won 4-0 to be crowned the Knockout Champions.
