Auditions for the multi-genre, critically inspired musical theatre production, The Penis Dialogues, will commence soon at the Artscape Jazzart Studio, and artists are invited to apply.

Clive Barrows Productions has announced auditions for its upcoming musical theatre production, The Penis Dialogues - a satirical and provocative work that explores toxic masculinity, societal norms, and their impact

Mr Barrows said this production aims to contribute to the broader conversation, raise awareness, promote empathy and understanding, encourage change and accountability, and amplify the voices of marginalized and vulnerable sectors.

The outline of the audition dates is as follows: Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, from 9am sharp. Attendance on Saturday, October 18, is compulsory, as the dance assessment will take place only on this date, according to Mr Barrows.

Acting and vocal singing assessments will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, along with a psychological assessment to determine emotional maturity and sensitivity to the production’s themes.

Candidates must wear appropriate audition attire and bring water and light refreshments or snacks.

Call-backs for final casting decisions will take place on Saturday, October 25.

Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 32, and casting will be representative of the gender spectrum.

Applicants should be versatile, with the ability to sing, dance, and act, and must submit a one-page résumé with an ID photo. Candidates are expected to be confident, uninhibited, and show insight into the themes of the production. For further information, email clivebarrowsproductions@gmail.com or WhatsApp 068 192 7019.
