Ameerah Isaacs, New Tafelsig
I am urgently seeking help regarding a property I bought almost four-years ago not knowing that it belonged to the City of Cape Town.
I paid transfer fees everything then found out the property is still in the City’s name.
I then went with the seller to the housing department in Parow.
We then spoke to Mr Petersen who helped us.
The seller was told to pay a transfer fee which we did after paying and we never heard of them again.
I started making calls and sending emails, since March last year, to the City without any joy.
The last correspondence that I had with the City dates to the first week in January. I get told to call back or the call ends.
I just get told that an attorney has not yet been appointed. I have sent an email to ask how many years it would take for an attorney to be appointed.
I really cannot wait another year.
