The Hadassah Women’s Outreach marked Women’s Day with its annual Hadassah Women’s Conference, a day filled with faith, empowerment, and fellowship.
The event took place on Saturday, August 9, under the leadership of Pastor Nolene Kellerman, at the Faith Apostolic Church in Eastridge, Mitchell’s Plain, drawing nearly 400 women – including two delegates from Zambia.
Centered on the theme “Kingdom Invasion” (John 14:6), the conference set the stage for an uplifting and impactful gathering
Keynote speaker Reverend Tanelle Welff-Dixon, a SANDF military veteran and international speaker with experience in the United States, urged women to approach faith as a decisive response to society’s most pressing challenges.
“Just as we were trained for missions in the air force, we’re called to launch targeted invasions of faith against the darkness threatening our families and communities,” she said.
“Women, we are combat-ready to engage the enemy and, with authority, stand up against the evils plaguing our families.”
She spoke on issues facing women daily, including unemployment, gender-based violence, substance abuse, family breakdown, moral decline, and crime.
Pastor Kellerman, founder of Hadassah Women’s Outreach, said the conference was a call to unity and resilience.
“When women from Mitchell’s Plain and Zambia unite in faith, we become an unstoppable force for generational healing. This conference ignited that fire.”
The programme included testimonies, worship, cross-cultural fellowship, and practical strategies for spiritual resilience. Women were encouraged to return to their homes and communities as “agents of Kingdom invasion,” determined to challenge despair with hope and faith.
Hadassah Women’s Outreach extended its thanks to reverend Welff-Dixon, the Faith Apostolic Church, volunteers, and attending partners, including the ICU and TWM Foundation, for contributing to a day that empowered women to rise in unity and purpose.
