Exposé Productions and Events will host The Grand Crown 2025, a pageant with a difference, on Saturday, November 1, at Westville Primary School in Rocklands.

“Unlike traditional pageants, The Grand Crown is centred on service, leadership and community impact. Contestants will be judged not only on style and stage presence but also on their commitment to making a difference. Winners in all divisions will serve as ambassadors for Clothed for Change, Exposé’s charity initiative providing clothing to families in need,” said Gino Dean Thaysen, founder of Exposé Productions and Events, who is originally from Lentegeur but now lives in Plumstead.

“This isn’t just about winning a crown, it’s about becoming a voice for change, inspiring others, and using the spotlight to serve,” he said.

The competition is open across several divisions, including Little Miss (8 to 12), Junior Miss and Junior Mister (14 to 17), Senior Miss and Senior Mister (18 to 30), and Mrs (married women).

Contestants will compete in categories such as African wear, carnival, evening wear, community work, and question and answer.

Doors open at 5.30pm and the show begins at 7pm. Tickets cost R150 general, R250 VIP, and R80 for children under 10. For entry forms or more details, call 074 864 8361 or email director.exposefashionshow@gmail.com.
