The arrest follows several community engagements between Lentegeur police, the local community police forum (CPF) and residents during May.

With the ongoing gang violence and other related crimes, it is important for the police to engage with the community and create a safe and secure environment for all residents," said Lentegeur police spokesperson Constable Navon van Houten.

Lentegeur CPF chairperson Michael Jacobs encouraged residents to support the police and join the local safety structures to improve safety in the area.
