Given the high number of political parties contesting the national election, it is not easy to decide which one to vote for.
It is ultimately about who can manage the country’s resources the best.
There are many factors to consider when making this decision.
Is the party genuinely able to create jobs, improve education, healthcare, water and sanitation, electricity and housing services, or are they always guilty of corruption and failure?
Is the party’s main candidates competent enough to be a good president or premier or are they like wolves in sheep’s clothing, always deceiving people?
Will electing these candidates result in the country or province moving forward or worsening its current state?
Can they take swift, decisive actions to ensure fairness, safety and security for law-abiding citizens or does the party instigate illegal occupation of land and support violent service delivery and labour protests?
Is the party capable of ensuring an end to discrimination against minority groups or do they actually promote racial discord through things such as job reservation?
Does the party have a definite plan to rid the country of land invasions, or do they actually endorse such actions?
Can they implement sustainable solutions to address the scourge of violent crimes and vandalism or do they lack the necessary expertise?
What are the political party’s core values?
Do they promote freedom of speech or do they suppress the public expression of moral and religious values, which is critical for the moral regeneration of society?
Can they ensure religious freedom or will their laws, policies and regulations promote socialism and communism, which could ultimately result in complete economic disempowerment and religious persecution?
These things are all critical, if citizens want to ensure good, competent and godly governance in the country.
Let us pray and ask God for guidance and intervention, so that South Africa might truly become a blessed nation, instead of a failed state.
