The Shumeez Scott Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation, focuses on individuals with Down syndrome and intellectual impairments.
We motivate and help them to become self-subsistent and provide opportunities for work empowerment.
This Ramadaan was evidently so different because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which was further exacerbated by national lockdown regulations, and many people faced income cuts.
We did our best to feed as many adults and children as we could.
The foundation distributed food in Athlone, Bonteheuwel, Delft, Bay View, Mitchell’s Plain, Heideveld, Vrygrond, Paarl and Manenberg.
