Jordan Alberts, Abdul-Maalik Samuels and Navarna Davids from AZ Berman Primary School came third in the GrowSmart: Science Competition held at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront on Saturday September 14. They also took silver medals at the Eskom Expo for young scientists at UCT on Sunday September 29.
Westridge High School pupils Zaina Jacobs, left, and Shannon Naidoo, attended the Artificial Intelligence Expo at the Century City Conference Centre on Wednesday September 4 and Thursday September 5. The Embassy of France in South Africa, together with Business France SA took part in the expo, which dealt with the theory and development of computer systems, programmed to perform tasks usually requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.
