Lions Club cleans beach

Lions Club of Mitchell’s Plain held a beach clean-up at Muizenburg beach on Saturday April 1. “The preserving of the environment is one of the global service pillars of Lions Clubs International with the objective to sustainably protect and restore our environment to improve the well-being of all communities. We’ve seen how our stewardship of natural resources can improve quality of life and increase engagement in our local communities,” said Lions Club of Mitchell’s Plain spokesperson Bevil Lakay. Although beaches are regularly cleaned by the City, it remains the responsibility as a community, to keep it clean.
