The city is covered in a shock of colour as spring flowers are in full bloom after months of heavy rain. Visitors to the Strandfontein Pavilion can enjoy a carpet of yellow, white and the occasional hint of purple. Pockets of arum lillies can also be seen among the sand dunes.
