Band Stand

The youth band is one of several that will take part in Artscape’s Band Stand event this week. The three-day festival will feature some of the country’s best up-and-coming musicians from 11 youth bands. The bands were selected through auditions and workshops facilitated by well-known musicians who also served as mentors, among them Ian Smith, Camillo Lombard, Amanda Tiffin and Marc de Kock. Shows will take place from tomorrow, Thursday October 26, until Saturday October 28, at 7.30pm. Tickets are R40 and are available though Computicket or Artscape’s Dial-a-Seat at 021 421 7839.
