Matriculants dissatisfied with their national senior certificate (NSC) results and those who wish to challenge them can either request a remark or retake the supplementary examinations.
The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has rolled out a free Second Chance Matric Programme (SCMP), reminding matric pupils who did not meet the NSC requirements that help is available to them to rewrite exams and improve their results.
Matriculants will receive support for rewriting failed or missed matric exams and resources to improve results.
Western Cape Education (WCED) communications director Bronagh Hammond said matriculants who would like to challenge their results would have to apply online, using a computer with Google Chrome. Re-mark applications cannot be made via a cellphone. Remark application dates are from Tuesday, January 13, until Tuesday, January 27.
An application to view answer scripts can only be made after scripts have been remarked or rechecked. For more information visit https://www.sanews.gov.za/south-africa/.
National Senior Certificate (NSC) supplementary examinations will happen between May and June.
