DSTV Mitchell’s Plain Festival celebrates golden jubilee ahead of 50th anniversary

This past weekend, the DSTV Mitchell’s Plain Festival was held in Westridge, celebrating the lead-up to Mitchell’s Plain’s 50th anniversary next year.

Organised in partnership with the Plainsman and HeartFM, the festival attracted more than 27 800 residents and visitors.

Attendees enjoyed a rich programme of music, cultural performances, and local cuisine, while coming together to share in the community spirit that defines Mitchell’s Plain.

From the lively entertainment to the bustling food stalls, the festival provided a vibrant space for families and friends to connect, celebrate, and experience the township’s unique energy and creativity.
