Autism Western Cape (AWC), a non-profit, is inviting the public to join its art exhibition in Rondebosch East on Saturday, November 15.
The organisation does advocacy work for persons with autism and provides advocacy support for schools and organisations that support persons with autism.
AWC training co-ordinator, Roshan Subailey, said many of their advocacy initiatives involve providing a platform for people with autism to have a voice.
“To allow individuals on the spectrum a space to be a part of a society that is mindful of spectrum conditions and that is equal in opportunities,” said a statement.
This art exhibition is free for all those who are attending, and AWC is encouraging guests to purchase artwork from the talented artists.
AWC has held its art exhibitions since 2021. This year’s art exhibition will include artwork from service users from Autism Connect in Strandfontein, as well as members of Autism South Africa in Johannesburg, and many people with autism throughout the province who will present their artwork.
The art exhibition will take place at Vera School for Autistic learners, 20 Anglesey Street, Rondebosch East, on Saturday, November 15, from 4pm until 7pm. To join the event, RSVP by emailing admin@awc.org.za or call 067 766 4306. Visit Autism Western Cape to find out more.
