The Beacon Valley Baptist Church held its annual Community Deeds of Love Street event on Sunday, October 26, bringing together residents for a day of compassion, connection, and celebration.
This year’s theme, “No More Violence,” inspired community members to wear white T-shirts bearing the slogan as a call for peace and unity, said the church’s reverend Dean Ford.
With permission to cordon off Holden Street in Beacon Valley, the church transformed the area into a lively space filled with fun, food, and fellowship, he said.
More than 550 meals were served, along with party packets for children and sanitary packs for youth. Games and activities kept the atmosphere joyful, and winners received prizes such as soccer balls, tennis bats, and tumblers, he said.
“The smiles on the children’s faces were priceless. We’re grateful to have shared God’s love tangibly,” said the reverend.
