Colorado Park resident Terrosita Chee Mee marked National Garden Day with her friends to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary in South Africa.

Ms Chee Mee hosted the celebration on Saturday, October 12, at her home in Colorado Park, describing it as a day to appreciate nature and connect with friends.

“There isn’t really a specific theme this year,” she said. “It was just about celebrating the 10th anniversary of Garden Day South Africa.”

She said the day held personal significance because of her love for nature and the opportunity it provides to bring people together. “I enjoy inviting my friends, playing games, having fun in the garden, and just enjoying each other’s company with something nice to eat,” said Ms Chee Mee.

In addition to her personal celebration, Ms Chee Mee also helps pupils from a Highlands Drive Primary School with gardening activities, encouraging them to learn more about nature and outdoor care.
