The Mustadafin Foundation honoured 150 seniors from Khayelitsha, Hanover Park, Manenberg, Delft, Tafelsig, and Bridgetown during Heritage Month.
The event, held on Sunday, September 21, at the organisation’s Bridgetown head office as part of Heritage Month, celebrated the contributions of elders and underscored their role in preserving community heritage.
A braai and performances by the Broadway Cultural Group and Innie Kaap Cultural Group brought the seniors together for a day of music, laughter, and connection.
“Honouring our elders is about recognising their wisdom and contributions, and learning from them to build a stronger, more compassionate future,” said Ghairunisa Johnstone-Cassiem, director of the foundation.
The foundation thanked donors and partners.
