Cape Town musicians Emo Adams, Don Vino, Mujahid George, and a live band will take to the stage at the Strand Town hall on Saturday, October 25.

Purple Rose Collective, a non-profit, is presenting the show, and proceeds will go towards funding an entrepreneurship training programme at the Rusthof Secondary School in Strand.

“Not everyone can go to university or college, and we want to offer our matriculants hope and an alternative. We are hosting a concert, 'A Night in Song', to raise funds to continue serving the school in 2026. We ask the community to support this cause,” said Dorianne Brooks, director of  Purple Rose Collective

Principal of Rusthof Secondary School, Joan Adams, confirmed that the entrepreneurship sessions started in March this year, and that there are currently about 30 pupils participating.

“Based on the learners' attendance, class participation, and feedback, I would say that they really enjoy the sessions.

“This programme has a number of strengths to offer the learners and help them to connect with their inner self. They are looking forward to the business component as they feel this will help them to be successful after their matric year,” Ms Adams said.

She added that the school would like to see more interested pupils taking part.

The show will take place from 7:30pm and tickets cost R150 at webtickets and PnP outlets.

Emo Adams was born and raised in Mitchell's Plain, and he became involved in the entertainment industry at the age of nine.
