In celebration of Women’s Month, Africa’s Got Game hosted the “Accelerate Your Business” Breakfast on Friday, August 22, a gathering focused on uplifting and empowering local women entrepreneurs.
The event took place at the Got Game SMME Incubator and Digital Hub in the Town Centre of Mitchells Plain.
Africa’s Got Game (AGG) is a non-profit organisation committed to transforming underserved communities by providing accessible digital skills training, entrepreneurship development, and mentorship. With a growing footprint across Cape Town, Saldanha, Marikana, Welkom, and the North West Province, AGG continues to create real opportunities for youth and small businesses.
A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Martine Solomon, founder of Got Game Mitchells Plain and the initiator of “Accelerate Your Business".
Originally from Elsies River and now based in Johannesburg, Ms Solomon shared her journey to building a platform that empowers thousands of young people and entrepreneurs nationwide.
The event also celebrated local success stories, including that of Faith Filtane, a graduate of Got Game’s incubation programme who now runs a thriving business. Her journey reflects the real-world impact of training, mentorship, and community-driven support.
