In the true spirit of Mandela Day, Liberty Promenade partnered with the Aqeel Fransman Foundation to spread warmth and joy in the Eastridge community.

On Friday July 18, the Liberty Promenade team swapped their boardroom for the streets, serving hundreds of hot dogs, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles to local children. The initiative embraced the Mandela Day ethos of dedicating 67 minutes to making a difference.

“Mandela Day is about making a difference in someone else’s life, even in the smallest way,” said Brenda Bibby of Liberty Promenade.

“Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces reminded us how powerful kindness and unity can be.”

A special thanks goes to SAPS and our security teams for ensuring the day ran smoothly. Liberty Promenade also extends heartfelt appreciation to the Aqeel Fransman Foundation for their ongoing work in the community and for including us in this meaningful effort.
