The relatives of three Tafelsig High pupils who have been selected to represent Northern District Schools Football (NDSF) at the Brebner High School soccer tournament in Bloemfontein in July, are appealing to the public for financial support to help get them there.

Kiyante Meintjies, 17, Cole Meintjies, 14, and Luciano Hendricks, 15, each need to raise R6 000 to cover their tour costs, which include accommodation, meals, team attire and transportation for the duration of the tournament, from Wednesday July 16 to Sunday July 20.

Josephine Meintjies said the boys’ selection is a testament to their dedication and hard work.

“They’ve all played for local football clubs in Mitchell's Plain from an early age. This tournament offers them a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience, develop their skills further, represent their district with pride and compete at a national level,” she explained.

Ms Meintjies said sponsorship will give the boys a chance to compete nationally and inspire other young athletes in Mitchell's Plain to pursue their dreams.

“We believe that investing in the youngsters' participation is an investment in their future and the future of youth sports in our community.

“Your generous contribution will make a significant impact on their journey and we are confident that they will represent the NDSF with distinction and make us all proud,” she appealed.
