Lentegeur library, in collaboration with Summerdale High School, hosted a career expo last Wednesday, March 26.
They brought together over 15 service providers to showcase a range of post-matric opportunities.
Pupils from neighboring schools were invited to explore diverse academic and vocational options, engaging directly with institutions and industry professionals.
The event underscored the importance of informed decision-making and self-determination in shaping one’s future, said acting deputy principal Althea Baartman.
“Your environment does not determine who you are or where you end up.”
Motivational addresses set the tone for the day, with Marlene Nelson from Lentegeur library, Ms Baartman and guest speaker and librarian at Lentegeur library Lauren Appolis reinforcing the belief that success takes many forms.
The event offered pupils a glimpse into potential career paths beyond traditional university education.
