On Saturday March 15 over 100 adolescents and youth made a commitment to God to remain abstinent until marriage called The Silver Ring Thing movement. It was planned by the Western Cape Conference Pentecostal Holiness church. Every young person, aged 10 to 21, made the commitment and received a silver ring as a reminder. The aim of the movement is to decrease teen pregnancy, the risk of HIV and the school dropout rate.
