The Hout Bay Seal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre is appealing for help to continue feeding seals in its care. The centre is facing a funding crisis and could be on the brink of closure, says chairperson Kim Krynauw. “We need to raise R50 000 for food, R8000 for our vet bills and R150 000 for our running costs. We can’t bear the thought of abandoning the seals who rely on us for protection.” For more information, call Ms Krynauw at 072 988 5193.
