Hout Bay Lion’s host Christmas lunch

The annual Christmas party was held at the Hout Bay Gemeente Church.

Sixty pensioners and people living with disabilities were treated to a Christmas lunch hosted by the Hout Bay Lion’s Club.

The annual Christmas party was held at the Hout Bay Gemeente Church on Friday December 6, according to the president of the Lion’s Club, Liz Huckle.

“Our club has been running these kinds of Christmas parties for the last 30 years. The lunch was served by our members and assisted by some of the youngsters of our youth leadership programme,” she said.

At the lunch, members of the Hangberg Seniors Club and Hout Bay Association for Persons with Disabilities APD (Bethesda) all received gifts and were entertained through a dance and Christmas carols sung by a seniors dance group dubbed, The Companions.

The seniors dance group, The Companions performing at the Christmas lunch which was hosted by the Hout Bay Lion’s Club. They are: Marguerite Phillips, Patsy Menhinick, Catherine Potgieter, Shirley Bass, Bernice Merrit and Jean Dunbar.
