Yusuf Watson, Lavender Hill
Lavender Hill, once a peaceful place,
now scarred by violence, a troubled face.
Guns and knives, a deadly embrace,
leaving scars, a community in disgrace.
The scent of lavender, once so sweet,
now overpowered by the stench of defeat.
The hill that once held laughter and play,
now echoes with the sounds of dismay.
But still, we hold on to hope and faith,
that one day peace will return to this place.
That love and kindness will conquer the pain,
and Lavender Hill will bloom again.
Until then, we'll stand strong and united,
against the violence, our voices excited.
For a brighter future, we'll strive and fight,
and bring peace back to Lavender Hill's sight.
