The City of Cape Town held a workshop and exhibition at the Bonteheuwel community centre on Saturday as part of a “cultural mapping” process to identify current arts and culture projects in the area and gauge their needs so they can be included in community development initiatives. Resident Derick George spoke about the lack of resources for the arts and artisans in Bonteheuwel. Gino Oliver, from the Gino Oliver Music Foundation, a non-profit music school in the area, shared his thoughts on music development in the area.
