SAPS is probing a fatal attack on a Rocklands Tavern.
SAPS serious and violent crimes unit detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of three men and the wounding of six others during an attack on a Rocklands tavern on Sunday, May 12.
Mitchell’s Plain police believe that it is a gang-related incident.
Two unknown men opened fire at a group of men, aged between 29 and 46, at a tavern in Stratus Street, at about 7.30pm.
SAPS Western Cape spokesman Colonel André Traut said the injured victims were admitted to hospital.
He said the suspects fled and a large scale manhunt was initiated in the vicinity and adjacent neighbourhoods.
"Additional operational forces have been deployed in the area to curb retaliation or any other form of violence, as gangsterism holding communities at ransom will not be allowed,“ he said
