Dad of the Year

More than 80 people gathered at Schoongezicht, Brackenfell, on Saturday December 9, to honour the nominees for the Dad of the Year Awards, held by the Fatherhood Foundation of South Africa. Awards were presented in four categories: Daddy Come Home, Entrepreneur Dad, Educator Dad and Community Dad. From left are Danielle Bloemfontein, who accepted the Educator Dad award on behalf of Valhalla High School teacher Yuserie Abrahams; Valhalla High School pupil Faeez Griffiths; Fatherhood Foundation CEO Zane Meas; Community Dad award recipient and Faeez’s grandfather Joseph Griffiths; and Natalie Daniels, who asked schools to nominate dads.
