Teachers and students of Islam’s holy book were honoured at an appreciation dinner last week.

The South African National Zakaah Fund (SANZAF) hosted the event themed “The Quran and Its People” in Athlone on Wednesday November 23.

It was the culmination of a series of podcasts entitled “Quran and Its People, learning about them and learning from them” speaking to these scholars’ experiences of learning and teaching the book.
