Cedar Gymnastics Club wins big at SA Gym Games

Cedar Gymnastics Club competed in this year's SA Gym Games in Pretoria. They were the overall winners of the competition bringing home 22 gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals.

Cedar Gymnastics Club were shining stars in this year's SA Gym Games in Pretoria.

They were the overall winners of the Gym for All code in gymnastics, bringing home 22 gold medals.

On Tuesday October 4 gymnasts competed in this games for the first time ever.

On Friday October 7 they competed in level 4, bringing home five silver medals and three bronze medals. “For four years Gauteng took the cup but this year we brought it home,” said member of the Cedar Gymnastics Club, Natasha Frazer ("Cedar Gymnastics Club in need of funds to head to SA Gym Games", Plainsman September 7).

“All our girls and boy did very well. We are so proud of what they’ve achieved and look forward to many more victories,” she said.

“When we got home we received such an awesome welcome from the parents, grandparents and even our ward 81 councillor Ashley Potts. He said he was very proud. It was awesome getting on the bus after a 17 hour drive to a great welcome,” she said.
