Winter music workshop

The Mitchell’s Plain Music Academy held their sixth annual winter workshop with musician Jonathan Rubain at Cedar High School on Saturday July 16.

Musician Jonathan Rubain was the guest artist at the the Mitchell’s Plain Music Academy's sixth annual winter workshop, held at Cedar High School on Saturday July 16.

Playing the drums at the workshop is Seth Clayton.
Alexis Brandt sang a beautiful rendition of Let It Go from the animated movie Frozen, and even dressed the part. Her teacher Charlotte Dickson was her guide throughout the song.

Principal Trevino Isaacs said: “A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support our students on Saturday. What a great time we had. Our students lit up the stage and we’re all so proud of them.”

On bass is Daniel Petersen, 65, who is currently the oldest student at the academy.
