Announced on Thursday, May 9, Justin Bieber is going from “Baby” singer to baby daddy to pop star and his wife, Rhode founder and model Hailey Bieber, announced via Instagram that they are expecting their first child together.
Hailey Bieber has done maternity fashion her way. (We knew she would.) We've seen her in glamorous cape dresses, butterfly crop tops, ‘90s-style overalls, and the lace Saint Laurent dress she wore to share the happy news. She’s proven that maternity wear can be just as trendy as everything else on the shelf, and her latest look incorporates one of the trendiest textures of the past few years: sheer!
Sheer dresses (or naked dresses) have been one of the prevailing trends of the 2020s, and Hailey Bieber is here to prove that they're perfect for pregnancy fashion too. In a new video posted by the proud father-to-be Justin, Hailey wears a strapless pale butter yellow Jacquemus maxi dress with a ruffled top. The rest of the dress is completely sheer; when Hailey lifts up the bodice, you can see her baby bump and black undies beneath the ultra light butter yellow mesh fabric. The mama-to-be accessorized the dress with a pair of white sunglasses and her signature diamond bubble “B” necklace, plus a huge, chunky gold cuff on each wrist. Her nails also appear to be a very pale butter yellow to match the dress, and she wore her hair pulled back.
For his part, Justin opted for a white T-shirt, black pants, a neon green beanie, and furry Louis Vuitton slippers. (He must have given his favorite Mary Janes the day off.)
Judging from the video, it looks like the Biebers were celebrating with an outdoor evening party. We don't know much about Baby Bieber, only that they'll be making their much-anticipated debut very soon and that Hailey and Justin already have a name picked out. We'll be sad to see the end of Hailey's maternity style era, but can't wait for the mommy-and-me 'fits she and the baby will definitely be wearing. Consider us on 24/7 Bieber Babywatch!
