The Dan Nicholl show makes a comeback, from TV to podcast
Hosted by the charismatic Dan Nicholl, the show has distinguished itself with a unique blend of humour, fun, and insightful interviews with celebrities from South Africa and beyond.
Now re-imagined for the digital age, TDNS can be enjoyed by listeners worldwide on platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Formerly known for its sports-centric focus, TDNS took viewers on thrilling journeys to prestigious events such as the Laureus World Sports Awards in Beijing, the Rugby World Cup in Tokyo, and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. Memorable segments included adventures like skiing in Switzerland with Mike Horne, tennis matches in London with Pat Cash, and even receiving boxing lessons from Evander Holyfield in New York.
Transitioning to the podcast space has unlocked new possibilities for TDNS. “The limitation of the television format was the relatively short amount of time with each guest,” explained Dan.
”Now I get to have a longer, more meaningful conversation and come away with a far more in-depth portrait of the person I’m interviewing.”
Early episodes of the podcast have featured a diverse array of guests, including local television personalities Jo-Ann Strauss and Jeannie D, Springbok World Cup winner and entrepreneur, Steven Kitshoff, renowned comedians Stuart Taylor, Marc Lottering, and Siv Ngesi, esteemed chefs Reuben Riffel and Pete Goffe-Wood, Olympic gold medallist Ryk Neethling, and cricket star and fashion icon Faf du Plessis.
Reflecting on the transition, Dan expressed, "Producing 16 seasons of TDNS made for a wonderful journey, and I got to know some extraordinary people. Now I get to take that platform into a very different space but keep the ethos of the show: giving the audience the chance to hang out with an assortment of well-known celebrities and really get to know them."
