Producer Jayson King presents Welcome to Cape Town in Concert, performing tributes to some of the American and British entertainment icons, on Tuesday December 26, at the Star Theatre (formerly the Fugard Theatre), in District Six, at 7.30pm.
The cast features Nur Abrahams Fagrie Isaacs, Sumaya Hendricks, Shadley Schroeder, Nazneen Leeman, Belinda Qaqamba Fassie and Ruth Knight.
All these artists have spent several years performing in Europe and the Spanish Balearic Islands, as well as cruise ships. They will perform songs by Luther Vandross, Dame Shirley Bassey, Cher, Bryan Adams, and Gloria Estefan, among others.
Belinda Qaqambie Fassie will rock you with songs by Miriam Makeba, Diana Ross and Gladys Knight while Jayson King will perform a version of Elvis Presley’s set as done at Madison Square Garden in 1972.
