Brazilian-Dutch choreographer, Anderson Carvalho, pictured, and his company, Anderson Carvalho Dance and Choreography (ACDC) are launching a dance platform, Dance Intersect 2023, at the Joseph Stone Auditorium from Thursday May 18 to Saturday May 20, featuring two works by ACDC and three works by guest companies. The two works by ACDC are When I Left the Room, which premiered 2022 in Cape Town and The Intimacy of the Skin, which is premiering in 2023. Elvis Sibeko of Elvis Sibeko Studios, the Eoan Group and SboNdaba Dance are the guest artists. ACDC is an independent, emerging and creation-based contemporary dance foundation from the Netherlands, founded by Carvalho. Tickets for Dance Intersect 2023 cost R150 through Quicket.
