Shakatak heads to Cape Town

George Anderson , Bill Sharpe, Jill Saward and Keith Winter will perform Shakatak fan favourites.

English jazz-funk band Shakatak is returning to Cape Town for just one show on Saturday September 30, at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, as part of their 40th anniversary world tour.

Shakatak, comprising George Anderson on bass, Bill Sharpe on keys, Jill Saward on lead vocals, Keith Winter on guitar, and Roger Odell on drums, has had several major hits including Night Birds (1982) and Down on the Street (1984), plus 12 entries in the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles.
