Titled The Restoration of All Things: Returning to Davidic Worship, the book is a collaboration between the pastor Dr Donovan Jacobs and EKC Worship and was recently launched in Kuils River.

EKC Worship performs and produces music focusing on themes of purpose, reflection, and community. The team includes musicians, teachers, and professionals who bring a range of perspectives to the book, said music director Trevino Isaacs.

The book combines personal reflections, practical insights, and stories that connect musical leadership to everyday actions and values. The goal was to create a resource for those involved in music and creative expression across different contexts.

Project manager Lee van Schalkwyk said the idea for the book came from team leader Dr Jacobs.

“The aim was to write something from people who are regularly involved in creative and musical work. We explore themes such as restoration, identity, and reconciliation, and how these ideas apply to our day-to-day lives,” said Mr van Schalkwyk.

Mr Isaacs said collaboration was key to shaping the book. “Sharing my experience felt natural, but putting it together for a book was something new. We had strong leadership and teamwork. The focus is on helping people live meaningful lives and reach their full potential,” he said.

Dr Jacobs said the team wanted the book to speak to a broad audience. “Worship isn’t just about music or religion. It’s about how we live, treat others, and contribute to the world around us,” he said.

You can order the book by emailing ekcmusic@ecclesia.org.za or by following their social media pages.
