The Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA) announced the Heroes II Gala Concert being held at Artscape Theatre on Wednesday November 27.
The event is not just a celebration of music but aims to raise awareness of child hunger and generate vital funds to support PSFA’s mission to eradicate hunger in schools across the Western Cape.
Under the direction of Regina Malan, this year’s concert promises to be a remarkable showcase of musical talent. Internationally acclaimed opera and musical theatre singer, Lana English, returns to the stage, alongside an exciting and diverse group of local artists. The dynamic line-up of performers includes Sian Atterbury, Loren Erasmus, Moe-Ain Daniels, Victor Siljeur and Faried Swartz.
A highlight will be the debut of young singer, Sienna Jayne D’Oliviera, and Izzy Gomez who will captivate the audience with her innovative approach to contemporary dance.
The musical journey continues with a special collaboration between the Masikhule Community Orchestra and the talented Constantia Primary School Choir. There will also be a special performance by members of the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town, one of city’s oldest and best-loved choral groups, The repertoire’s highlights include Song to the Moon, Tomorrow from the musical Annie, My African Dream and Highland Cathedral featuring the orchestra and a pipe band, the iconic Nimrod from Enigma Variations and more, all adding to a spectacular evening of music.
The generous support by the Artscape Theatre, adds to the special celebration of this event.
