In Mitchell’s Plain there have been reports of flooded roads – one of the areas heavily impacted is Rocklands where a field bordered by Silver Street, Amethyst Street, Sapphire Crescent and Aquamarine Crescent resembled a river in full flood.
Streets in the neighbourhood were also flooded with water coming up to people’s entry gates.
Life/ and or property-threatening emergencies can be reported to the City of Cape Town’s Public Emergency Centre at 021 480 7700 from a cellphone or 107 from a landline.
